Takashi Murakami has always been a favorite of mine ever since his work with Kanye West, his mixture of different levels of art blur the lines between what is known as high end art and low end art. All of his works are a broad yet focused ideal of Superflat, Murakami's art theory of closing the divisions between high and low art. He mass produces his high end pieces into plushies and other otaku memorabilia that catch the eye and honestly make me feel like a kid again. The colorful displays and twisted imagery infused with the otaku culture puts my mind at ease so i had to take a trip to The Broad to get my injection of inspiration and serotonin. Lucky for you, ya spoiled brat, I couldn't just keep that happiness to myself. I had to share a few of my favorites and some pieces that caught my eye. There is also a shitty walk through at the end if you're interested haha! Hope you enjoy!!!
